Synopsis
“Marcedes” is a feature biopic chronicling the history and transformation of a country, through the perspective of a car and its family. The iconic Mercedes Ponton 180 arrives in Lebanon in 1960, integrates into Lebanese society and becomes a survivor as it witnesses 50 years of the country’s history.

Synopsis
Ziad is living with the ghosts of the Lebanese Civil Wars, and his role as an influential commander in the military wing of the Communist party. Christina, an former peace campaigner from West Germany, persuades her reticent husband to embark on a journey through film, piecing together his memories as a way of establishing their marriage for the future. This brave documentary is both a personal, cross-cultural love story, and a reflection on the impact of the Cold War and the universal nature of conflict
