Namur International Francophone Film Festival, Belgium – call for entries

The 27th edition of the International Francophone Film Festival (FIFF) will take place from Spetember 28 until October 5, 2012, in Namur, Belgium.
The Festival will be screening abround 150 feature films from Francophone countries, amongst which fiction and animated shorts and feature films, documentaries and video-clips. The international competition for feature and short films is open to films made in Francophone countries after January 1, 2011, in French or with French sub-titles.
The jury will present several awards (Bayard d’Or) to reward the international sections with a total of €27,500.

For its 34th edition which will take place in Montpellier (France) from 26 October to 3 November, 2012, Cinemed launches a call for entries.

More than EUR 60,000 in cash will be awarded to the winners, in addition to prizes consisting of different services and grants worth EUR 40,000 offered by sponsors.
Online registration of films to be selected for the different competition or panorama sections is available from 13 February to 31 August 2012

Since 1989, the Brussels Mediterranean Film Festival has presented a selection of recent film productions from Mediterranean countries, including Albania, Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, Croatia, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece,Israel, Italy, LebanonLibya, Macedonia, Malta, Morocco, Montenegro, Palestine, Serbia, Slovenia, SyriaTunisia and Turkey.

For its 17th edition which will take place in Marseille (France) fromJune 17 to 21, 2013, the PriMed - International Festival of Mediterranean Documentary Film and Reportage launches a call for films.
The PriMed is open to all directors, producers and distributors who, through their programmes or films, contribute to a better understanding of the countries of the Mediterranean basin in its widest sense, from the Atlantic coasts to the Black Sea. 

Nine Awards are given to the films in competition:
  • Grand Prix “Mediterranean Challenges” (6,000 €)
  • “Mediterranean Memories” (5,000 €)
  • “First Film” (5,000 €)

SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2012 (Japan)

The festival is now calling for entries for the Feature Length Competition until March 1st, 2012.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
- Running time must be 70 minutes or longer.
- Director’s 1st, 2nd or 3rd feature length film.
- Production completed after January 1st 2011.
- The films shot, edited, and shown digitally.
- Entries submitted once before are not eligible.
 
AWARDS: Approx. total $53,000 USD (tentative, based on previous years)

Applications for 2012 TRT Documentary Awards Started

Application Deadline: 27 January 2012 

The TRT International Documentary Film Competition has been organized to support amateur and professional documentary film-makers.

Awards for International Compétition: Best Documentary Award: 10.000 € ; Special Prize: 7.500 € ; Special Jury Prize: 5.000 €.

8th Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival

Call for entries for the 8th Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival
The deadline for submitting entry forms will be 15 January 2012 and for receiving films 15 February 2012

The 8th Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival, which will be held in April 2012 in Doha, Qatar, has officially opened its call for entries. The Festival will accept submissions of short, medium, and long films for its Main Competition, as well as films to participate in its New Horizon competition for new filmmakers and youth and Promising Film competition for students of Qatari universities.

Released by ..né.a Beyrouth

"IT'S ALL IN LEBANON" is a new 58 min documentary directed by Wissam Charaf, produced by ..ne.a Beyrouth and co-produced by UMAM.

Based on the main events that took place in Lebanon since the end of civil war, « It's all in Lebanon » is a journey through the icons of modern Lebanon: a country torn between violence, lust and amnesia.



The film will premiere at DIFF 2011. For those attending the festival you are invited to join us at the screening :

Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival

The 20th Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, taking place from 7 to 15 of July 2012, announces the call for entries for new short films produced in 2011 or 2012; within the duration limit of 60 minutes, film or video.

3D Korea International Film Festival

Official Selection “3D Choreography”, the first 3D video that promotes the choreography and dance, directed by Jordan River

The 3D Korea International Film Festival (Gwangju, Korea, 17/21 Nov. 2011) introduces 3D films made not only in Korea but also in other Asian countries, Europe, and the United States. About 50 feature and short 3D films from various countries will be screened.

This year to 3DKIFF was selected '3D Choreography' (the first 3D video that promotes the choreography and dance) by Jordan River, among young european experts stereoscopic 3D cinema, and produced by Delta Star Pictures.

This video is made with modern innovative techniques, with 3D live-action, Motion capture, VFX/Stereography.. 3DKIFF is also a forum to the world to share 3D contents and technologies in order to improve awareness of stereoscopic 3D.
